Stuart Manning (AKA Russ Owen) may be facing up to 3 years in jail after assisting co-star and Jungle winner, Gino D’Acampo, with killing a rat and eating it on the reality TV show; I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
Gino D’Acampo, a celebrity chef from Ready Steady Cook, was crowned King of the Jungle this week but is now facing huge backlash from animal protection campaigners in Australia.
The RSPCA in Australia say that it is illegal to kill or harm animals in a TV production.
Gino and Stuart who were made to endure rations, took it upon themselves to chase a rat, grab it by its throat, kill it and then eat it. Without bringing us into this legal debate – surely this is exactly how people survive out in the Jungle?
Either way, the RSPA are not happy about this and have asked Manning and D’Acampo to appear in court on the 3rd of Febuary 2010.
We’re pretty gobsmacked by this story! Are lawsuits going to start popping up for Ray Mears and Austin Stevens?

but its OK to eat bugs in a blender, Kangaroo testicles with a fork and knife, and Aligator penis is used as a stirrer, but heaven forbid a rat!!
