Ricky gets Murdered Tonight!!!!
The character, played by actor Ricky Whittle, will be killed by an unidentified gunman, on his second wedding day to Carmel McQueen. Tonight!!
The episode is a special ‘flash forward’ edition, depicting events six months in the future, meaning Ricky will be seen in the soap until May.
He said of the dramatic scenes: “No, no-one knows who does the shooting. There are 23 characters in the episode, so there are many suspects.
“There are people who aren’t in the episode that could become suspects, too.”
Ricky added that he put his all into the death scene, and hurt himself considerably, getting whiplash at one point during filming.
He said: “I absolutely threw myself on the floor because I wanted it to look as real as possible. I’d rather a scene look real and take a few bumps and bruises, so I wanted to hit the deck as you would in the situation.”
Ricky also added it was weird or him to film his death and still have five months to go at work.
He also said: “It was strange actually. I’ve always wanted to do a death scene but at the same time you don’t want to because it usually means that you can’t go back! I’m quite lucky that I’ve had the death scene and I still have five months’ work to go!”
‘Hollyoaks’ airs tonight at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
