WE UPDATE THIS REGULARLY WITH THE LATEST CHARACTER DEPARTURES – SO KEEP ON CHECKING BACK!
Well, for those of you that have enjoyed watching Hollyoaks this year, (well now last year – 2009) we at HollyoaksOMG.com thought that it might be nice to have a recap of the much loved characters that we have lost this year, (and also the hated we have lost!) by fire’s, falling to their death and the classic walking away with just their bagpack! Here’s the list of departures for 2009 and even a few departures we will be seeing in 2010. (let’s hope there’s not this many great character departures this year ehh?)

Nige – Febuary - Who could forget old Nige eh? Well, so you want to know how he died? Well, first of all Warren gave him his ‘fake death’ paying him to pretend he is dead, then reapered for an episode where Calvin saw him, then ‘byebye’ Nige does the disapering act and isn’t seen again. But he’s out there somewhere!!!

Warren/Clare – May - Just a classic death for Warren, burnt alive in a fire, after being beaten up by Clare Devine, of course one of the best villians Hollyoaks has ever had. Clare Devine on the other hand left Hollyoaks by being sent to jail by Calvin. But a secret source seems to think that Clare Devine will be back on our screens shortly…
Justin/Russ – June - Shortly after Warren’s death in the loft, Justin thought that he had killed Hannah Ashworth so decided to leave Hollyoaks forever. But then finding out Hannah was alive Justin convinced himself that all of Hannah’s problems are his fault and she’s better off without him. Russ however found out that his girlfriend Nancy was having an affair with Kris so packed his bags and stole his baby and gave Justin a lift out of Hollyoaks FOREVER!
Daniel/Abbie – August – Daniel and Abbie’s plans went terribly wrong is August after Natty catches them out after drugging Ste and trying to steal his child. Again for Daniel and Abbie, I do not think we have seen the last of these too characters.
Ash/Bel/Gov (Roy) – September - September had a massive lose on the Roy family in Hollyoaks as three Roys left Hollyoaks villiage forever, after only being in Hollyoaks for under a year leaving Lelia, Ravi and Anita alone. Ash’s anger took a turn for the worse after sending his brother into a coma and after being hated by the whole villiage packed his bags and left Hollyoaks forever, with the classic walk under the bridge. (Quite funny though how he came into Hollyoaks in that fancy car, where did that go?) Although Ash, the trouble of the family had left, Anita caused her dad to loose his job by saying he stuck up for her when she stole the school exam papers, and Bel and Gov Roy decided they where no longer welcome in Hollyoaks either.
Sarah Barnes – October – October saw the arrival of Hollyoaks Later (2) (produced by old Hollyoaks producer Brian Kirkwood) and also the death of Sarah Barnes played by the beautiful Loui Batley. Jealous and crazy Lydia Hart couldn’t take Sarah and Zoe’s friendship so decided to cut the parachute for Zoe Carpenter, but the parachutes got mixed up… leading to Lydia accidently killing her own girlfriend instead… Eli also had a quick run in October which saw him trying to stop Newt jumping off the bridge with fake Rae. Somehow we just know that Eli will return.

Calvin Valentine/Lydia Hart – December – Calvin Valentine get’s the most strangest death award in soap this year as poor Calvin Valentine fans will have to suffer the grief of seeing him die twice. Yes, Calvin Valentine was shot dead by an unknown suspect (many in the frame – Jake, Rhys, Clare, Malachy – and the list goes on…) but viewers will also see his death again in May, when he is actually set to die. So, should we really count this as a December death? Lydia Hart also left our screens on New Years Eve after attempting to kill Zoe Carpenter by stabbing her! Lydia Hart’s in jail now, finally. She’s got what she deserves.

Zoe Carpenter and Mike Barnes – January – After being stabbed by Lydia Hart, Zoe Carpenter manages to surive. (you go girl!) Zoe decides to go traveling on her own after no one will go with her. But Mike decides to go with her. (yaaay!) Zoe was actually asked to return in the summer for Kris’ exit storyline, but she couldn’t make it…
Lelia Roy – January – Another January departure is Lelia Roy, leaving just two Roy’s left, Ravi and Anita (oh no!) Lelia is suprised when she get’s offered a job in Paris meaning she will have to leave the rest of her family behind and Elliot Bevan, who she has just become close with again. But before Lelia leaves Hollyoaks forever she admits to Elliot that she still loves him, and says goodbye forever.
Fernando – January – After Steph tells him that she doesnt love him anymore and that she loves Gilly Roach instead, Fernando disapers. We predict that Fernando returning is unlikley…
Hannah Ashworth – Febuary – Febuary will be a sad month in Hollyoaks as we will loose an amazing character; Hannah Ashworth. For months Hannah has been having a terrible time, as her eating disorder has come back worse than ever, but love is in the air for Hannah in 2010 as Jamie, from Hollyoaks Later has returned, and he wants Hannah to come live with him. But things take a tragic turn for Hannah as Blue comes back for revenge on Jamie for taking his money then Jamie stabs him! As Jamie prepares to run Darren also ends up getting stabbed in the process and Jamie gets arrested. Hannah decides to leave Hollyoaks for good and also goes travelling.

Hayley Ramsey – March - This spring Hayley was supposed to be envolve in the ‘Who’s the daddy’ storyline with Rhys and Josh but she’s seemed to have just disintergrated. Where the heck has she gone? Doesn’t look like we will be seeing her again with her only family in the soap being axed… (Zak)

Can I just say how pissed I am that Calvin’s dying? All my favorites have left or are leaving, I’m afraid to know who’s next.
