For those of you who didn’t catch our earlier spoiler about the departure of Mike Barnes AKA ‘Barnsey’ you can read it here.
Here at HollyoaksOMG.com, we have quite literally got out the ice cream and a box of tissues to say goodbye to the much loved character Mike Barnes.
Earlier we had confirmed that Mike Barnes was leaving us, but it was rumoured that he would be returning shortly afterwards. But this rumour was incorrect. Mike Barnes is leaving Hollyoaks for good. He will not be returning again!! (OMG!) Leaving Amy to be the last surviving Barnes in Hollyoaks!
So however proud we are for predicting correct again about Mike leaving with Zoe, we are still upset!
It has been confirmed that he will leave happily with Zoe Carpenter, but not as lovers, just as friends.
Tony Hirst, who plays Mike Barnes has been in Hollyoaks for four years now and has been one of the greatest ‘older’ characters in Hollyoaks – featuring in storylines such as Amy’s suprise pregnancy, Kathy’s obsession with Amy’s baby Leah, and the love affair with Sarah’s best friend Zoe Carpenter. Not to forget the recent storyline of Mike’s struggle to cope with his daughter’s death.
Mike Barnes has been a very popular character with the team at HollyoaksOMG.com and we wish him all the best. Mike Barnes final scenes show on January the 27th.
