Producer Lucy Allen has stepped down from her position at Hollyoaks.

Lucy Allen who took over the role from Brian Kirkwood (Hollyoaks’ old producer) has decided to quit after just one year as Executive Producer.

Lucy Allen has overseen several storylines in her position such as; The Flash Forward episode featuring ‘Who Shot Calvin’ as well as ‘Who almost killed Gaz’ and ‘Newt’s suicide jump.’

Taking over Hollyoaks from TOMORROW is Television Producer Paul Marquess.

Marquess’ previous television credits have included Brookside, Family Affairs, The Bill and Footballers’ Wives.

When we travel back in time to when Brian Kirkwood took over as Hollyoaks producer he entered with a bang, blowing up The Dog with character Sam inside and killed off FIVE Hollyoaks’ cast members! Will Marquess do the same and cause some epic drama? Will he kill off some more characters or give us some new arrivals? It is well known that when a new producer arrives the cast always fear for their place on the show. Hollyoaks has got a strong cast at the moment, so let’s hope no more get the axe!

So OMG! What do you think of this? Are you happy Lucy Allen has stepped down from Hollyoaks producer? Or maybe you think the opposite?

Let us know!

  1. Well, I wasn’t impressed with how story unravelled with her at the helm

  2. Apparently this new guy has a rep for firing people, it was something like 7 or 8 on his first days in The Bill. I think there would be a lot more people being fired if it wasn’t for the fast forward episode which means people’ll still have to be there in May. Can’t wait to see what he does change though, because I think it all needs a change.

  3. hopefully he will bring good change, but i do hope Nico does still have a job by tonight
