Well, rumours have it that Malachy’s character will be killed off by the end of 2010!
HollyoaksOMG.com did a little bit of browsing around, and yes, it does look like we will see the last of Malachy Fisher this year… OMG!
While Brian Kirkwood ruled the world of Hollyoaks – he had plans for the Fishers. Gerard McCarthy who plays Kris Fisher actually planned to quit Hollyoaks back at the end of 2008, but Kirkwood managed to keep Gerard McCarthy on for another, well, two years now!
Kirkwood also had plans for Malachy Fisher. Glen Wallace who plays Malachy was initially contracted to be in Hollyoaks for just one year where he would find himself in a relationship with Mercedes McQueen and then die because of his HIV. But after the departure of Kirkwood, Lucy Allan decided that she wanted Malachy for one last storyline the ‘Who Shot Calvin Valentine?’
It is confirmed that in the next few months Kris will find out something tragic about Malachy, and ooo this will be good!
It can’t be about Calvin and Mercedes because he already knows! So we think that Malachy will find out that he doesnt have very long to live, giving him even more motive to kill Calvin Valentine! HE HAS NOTHING TO LOSE!
With Kris also rumoured to be leaving Hollyoaks at the end of this year, and of course the new producer Paul Marquess on his axing spree, HollyoaksOMG.com have decided that if Malachy is to die of HIV at the end of the year, then this will be a great Christmas storyline, with Kris potentially leaving because of the death of his brother!
Also earlier this week we confirmed that Jennifer Metcalfe – who plays the character Mercedes Fisher – is setting up her own business. Could this mean Mercedes will be leaving Hollyoaks as well to have more time for her business? If so, Malachy’s character doesn’t have much reason to stay in Hollyoaks! But we must strenuously reaffirm that we don’t really believe Mercedes (Jen) is leaving the show…
