Hollyoaks new producer Paul Marquess has just this moment axed another eleven characters from Hollyoaks. OMG!!
Last month we revealed that the whole Ashworth gang are being axed. But now there are more families to go!

Once we see the ‘Who Shot Calvin’ storyline, we will see the departure of Sasha, Leo, Lauren and Spencer.
We weren’t too surprised with this – but we still aren’t happy to see them go.
Keep on reading for worse departures.

He’s only just returned and she’s had her major storyline axed but we can confirm that both Loretta and Jake have been given the old chop!

We’re sure many of you aren’t happy with this departure. The young hunk is also confirmed to be leaving.
And finally – Des and Dave, who HollyoaksOMG.com think are the best two new characters and we are guessing plenty more…
Characters like Rae and Gaz surely can’t stay after all this…

Update! Archie Also Axed!
They already destroyed Newt for me when they de-emoed him, but after not watching it for a while I went back to watching it because I like Nico so much as himself, and in other roles.
I do think it’s very stupid to take out the ratings problem on the actors, who are like pure gold on the show – rather than the poor storyline ideas. Chuck out the poor script writers, then you might see some results.
I had a go at them on the Hollyoaks Bebo website about it, saying it’s the scripts – not the actors. I didn’t mince my words.
Archie is also apparently going.
Personally I’m estatic. Especially that Sasha and Lauren are finally going. I hope that there might be some good dramatic deaths!
It’ll be good to have some fresh faces, maybe even some oldies return.

erm……..to be honest apart from dave im not really bothered. i think once youve been a student in hollyoaks theres nothing left for you there anyway. (:
I am gutted to hear that kris is leaving he was 1 of my favourite. glad to c the bak of the ashworths they r getting really boring and just moan all the time

If I was the new producer (instead of Lucy at the time of Lucy Allen before she did all the damage) I would have done these things:
1. Keep Newt emo and reunite him in a tender scene with Lauren some time after finishing his fling with Rae. Also if Nico asked to quit I would offer him more money to at least appear in Hollyoaks Later until the end of the year, and allow him time to be filmed in other dramas.
2. I would replace any mediocre storywriters with better writers, who have proven track records writing for other dramas.
3. I would only axe these few characters who have become rather dull: Elliott, Josh, Sasha, Rae, Tony and Dom.
4. Rae’s leaving story could be near-death, followed by a dream chance to leave the village be a pop star. This would give Alice Barlow a chance to show off her great singing voice.
5. I would get rid of all spoiler videos, which let people decide whether they can be bothered to watch or not. Episode spoilers would be more vague. There would be more suspense & mystery, to keep people interested. And definitely no more “flash forward” episodes that give away massive spoilers six months in advance. No wonder the ratings fall if people know the plot already!
6. I would allow actors who didn’t want to be in the hunks or babes calendar to opt out if they were really unhappy about it. Or make it for charity, so at least the actors felt that it was for a good cause. This might help to stop some of the actors wanting to leave the show.
