New villain Brenden, played by Emmet Scalan, hits our screens this summer!
And to celebrate his arrival we are going to give you all the latest gossip that we have on him so you are all clued up on your new character.
We may not know everything; but from what we’ve heard he’s going to be one of the best villians Hollyoaks have had in a while!

Well with every bad boy in Hollyoaks, you’ve always got to assign him as the ‘club owner.’
So we predict that he’s going to buy ‘The Loft’ from The Valentines when they bow out later this year.
Brenden’s going to be putting many of the Hollyoaks characters lives in danger when he arrives this summer. Here’s just a few:
- Ste – He’s going to get Ste in all sorts of trouble and may even lead Ste to being a much worse version of his old violent ways…
- Cheryl – She’s predicted to get a new bad boyfriend later this year and we predict Brenden. Will she get a blast from the past because both characters are Irish? Maybe Cheryl has met him before – our bets are YES!
- Carmel – An insider has said that Brenden is going to put Carmel’s life in danger. Will it be by accident or is Carmel going to fall for another bad boy?
There’s a big stunt coming up in the Winter and again our bets are on Brenden being involved!
Lastly Brenden’s going to have a very dark past. Has he stolen, sold drugs or even murdered? Or will Brenden’s dark past be closer to home…?
