Ricky Whittle is suffering from a case of the Man Flu – and has revealed on his Twitter page that he has been sick on the Hollyoaks set!
The actor, 29, vomited on the set of TV soap Hollyoaks, where he plays Calvin Valentine, and has been suffering from dizzy spells.
He tweeted: “That’s done it, vomiting on set is not fun, can’t train tonight, not too bad as was a good session yesterday, but won’t be any use tonight.”
But a Strictly spokeswoman said Ricky managed to rehearse for this weekend’s BBC One show and his condition has improved.
“Ricky hasn’t missed any training sessions and is feeling much better”, she said.
Ricky had tweeted: “Now I know why I can’t eat, I’m a poorly bunny, been sick all day, man flu in full effect!! everything keeps coming up, gutted, I love my food!!
“Oooh dizzy spells will be fun during foxtrot tonight, hopefully dancing can burn off the fever, filming outside isn’t helping!!! oooh it hurts.”
Later he tweeted: “Did well to finish the day, need to get home and burn this sucker out then can train tomorrow morning before work!!”
After being in last weekend’s dance off, Ricky is practising a routine that he has tailor-made to please each of the judges.
