Spencer leaves the show later this year
At the recent British Soap Awards ceremony Darren Langford has said that he believes his character may leave the show on a positive note!
Darren plays unlucky-in-life Spencer Gray who has recently had his life turned upside down by evil Lauren and Gaz.
But according to Darren, Spencer might have a reversal in fortunes and leave the show with a much happier ending (Yay!)
“I thought I was going to be left in the lurch on my own but I might – because I’m going at the same time as the Valentines – have a happy ending there, but I don’t know yet.”
Another shock for you… apparently the character of Spencer was only intended for a short stint on the show!
Darren talking about the mass axings at Hollyoaks: “We kind of knew that was coming. When I originally went in for the part, it was three months and then it extended and extended and extended. I didn’t see myself doing much more than 18 months but it’s gone really well and [it'll have] been almost two years when I leave.”
How pleased are we that Spencer stayed for more than three months? Very!
